I think this song is about criminal activity, and trying to hide, but being found and dying alone, or having to hide forever and dying alone. Just here me out. It starts off with talking about a sweet heirloom, and abbey stones, then goes on to say crash that car, unplug the phone. Then sell their belongings. And the clever drawings (perhaps the items that had been stolen?) then it says try to make a dollar from the grave... so basically a faked death, sell everything and run. Which ties in the city boys in country clothes, hiding out in the country. Then it goes on to talk about trying to forget the enemies and debts, which will chase you. And then a struggle, putting up a good fight, and then they say everyone dies alone... so he tried to get away, but failed, they found him and killed him. Lol but who knows. |
