Just wingin' it: Me thinks this song "Dosed" is about the surf. Being in the ocean is a high of it’s own, you're inside the sets, closer than most. You have to catch a wave, sometimes you freeze not sure of your next move. Missed opportunities in surf as in life will always be.....just trust in the ebbs & flows. The surf can birth a star, as a surfer emerges from the watery vagina, tubes of perfection, cutback barrel form, something of utter beauty is produced. The water will hold you forever warm. Tides always continue to lay on, lay on, lay on, lay on into the shore. Waves shore break, crash into cliffs, die on the mountains of rock, surfers want that exhilaration, the life & energy, but you can’t survive hidden in the canyons, otherwise you risk certain death from the same power you seek. Reflective of the challenge & risk to paddle out & live, seek your ride & take it in, enjoy the good vibes, use the power to carry you along. The surf shows such love, it’s euphoric, it's intoxicating. Climb on to your seahorse for an ocean adventure like no other, especially when you make the right choices. As in life, the surf has the potential to be right on course, such exhilaration, happiness, & joy. You can find peace & unity with the Earth, forever bonds with the rolling tidal energy, there's nothing like the surf.....endless lay on, lay on, lay on, lay on..... I'm dosed. The pleasure is mine, although a natural high. We’re so close. All good times must end, the waves were never mine, but they'll be here again, and so will I to chase them. |

I hear this song being an ode to Earth. Where people are the disease that pollutes, because we’re addicted to over consumption of resources and recklessly indifferent to nature’s warning signs. Earth is struggling, and we die when she dies. |
