mm. Thing is, if I had doubt that someone could "fix me", i wouldn't make an entire song based on what they "could" or "couldn't" do. Freddy Mercury at one point in his life believed that Jesus is who He says He is. Hence him admitting that he's not a perfect person and that he needs fixing. Also out of everything that he had access to, he made a cognitive decision to ask specifically for Jesus to fix him. Also, just in general, the bible says that in the beginning there was the word, the word was with God and the word was God and the word became flesh. (Jesus) who reconciled us to God by being born to die in our place so that we can be in right standing with God Himself. With that being said, Jesus, in the reality of who He is, doesn't need "the classic Queen treatment" or a "tribute" from a created being. Although we need to spread the word of God and let people know about what Jesus has done for them, it would be futile to assume that the song played a significant role in the difference between people knowing about Jesus or not. |
