It is on how churches are constantly WAY too focused on the tithes and offerings and expansions, ect. I also see it being about how you shouldn't view your faith as a ticket to heaven or as a way to get hundreds of followers, but as a way to save others from the wrath to come. Btw, S.M.C. could stand for Sunday Morning Class/Communion/Church. |

27 comments and nearly none are on topic? Seems to be 2 separate meanings. 1. The condoning of violence in our society. 2. A love of money. The first seems to be discussed enough, so I'll leave that be. Out of the playground's ashes Come little men With little games Out of childhood innocence comes the temptation of the little green men (dollar bills) So let's all sing Sing a song of love Sing until our throats bleed How we sing about the things money can buy for us (And if this child could speak, he would say:) I don't need anybody, ect. How a love of money forces you to rely on it, and how it will twist your motives. History's a stage for reruns For 3 A.M. insomniacs Who quote the episodes All of history has shown this pattern over and over again (Reruns), where willing (or gold, or anything else that could be your god) is someone's all and they will do anything for it, or to get more. |

This seems fairly obvious, yet it is hard to pin down just what specifically it is about. I see it as describing the life of anyone ever born. You think you can do it better than all of the rest could (that you can succeed where they failed), but the truth is you can't. But you don't have to stay like that, for God is the way. |

I see this one as being about the state of the church. We are all being divided by Satan, often by issues that are kind of ridiculous. We need to break what is keeping us all apart. We can't live divided. |

| As a side note, Randy has just a wonderful singing voice. This song makes me tear up a little every time. | |

A somewhat confusing song, as we have almost no lyrics to work with, but here goes: "Outside looking down on me Outside the view is so much more" How we simply cannot understand God's plan for our lives? "I am more than a noise to be Stepping through, moving past Collectively" About the infinite worth of an individual? "Better late than dead" Better to come to God late in life than not at all? In conclusion, I think it is about someone who spent their entire life in disbelief because of all of the suffering in the world (see Sad Machines), and as they were dying saw the truth: God's plan is more than we could ever imagine. And so, they came to Christ; better late then eternally dead. |

| Project 86 – A Toast To My Former Self Lyrics | 5 years ago |

Seems to say that his old self is dead, and even though he is missed, he isn't. Also, I think that the line "my second taste of you" may be speaking about the concept of having to be renewed multiple times. You will come to points in your life where, after years of following God, you start to fall away (I know I have). And so, you have to come back to Him and kill the old self again. |

This song is about temptation and/or trying something addictive for the first time. [Straight from the Schwab himself] |

To me it sounds like he is talking about prejudice from the other music scenes, and how his band doesn't really fit into any of them and are stuck as an underground band. Could also be talking about racism and prejudice in general... |

| To me it seems to be talking about how your main struggle in life comes when Satan pits you versus your sin nature, but in killing that you end up killing yourself, being made new. | |

This one, to me, is semi-obvious. The zombies described are unbelievers who are stumbling through life constantly searching for temporary contentment. Without knowing it, they are crying out for something they cannot presently feel: the love of God. i.e., they are all "needing something real". The One-Armed Man is not one of them, but was once (he'll never ever look back). He has cut off his right arm since it hindered him. |
