| And yes, they have the balls to enslave us, so you're damn right - we're gonna string them up! | |

True. This song applies to all oppressors, Globally. We've all been slaves at some time and tbh we are all slaves today, what with neverending taxes, unjust laws & regulations which is submission by force. Just a thought |

If you think about it, the song starts with the oppressor speaking, acknowledging the people's struggle...then the people respond with "we got the whip - we got a Better bomb". BETTER, being the key word. See people don't have bombs, rulers do. The people now have a "better bomb" than The oppresors to fight back. Bomb as in Unity through Music, fellowship, integrity, respect for individual freedom and common values. Just a thought. |

| Lifehouse – Into The Sun Lyrics | 5 years ago |

This song seems to take place post-breakup, a place where she has moved on, as is usually the case; men linger longer. Then one day - a casual run into one another. Time has transpired since he left, reasons are unclear, but he finds himself missing her, regretting. He can see the days that led to their demise, but the ones between are clouded and harder to see, as if to allude that the blame for their ending, doth not lie on him alone. Again, usually the case. Then the song goes minor# So, “sit down laugh thinking what have we done”, is “sadcasm”, indicating that she perhaps didn't let him in her head, heart, etc...perhaps it was a physical relationship, clashing personalities, baggage, shameful past? Either way, they ran out of time, and the chance to coalesce. The sun represents, a happy death; hence their fall into it. Such as a moth to a flame. Running "Into The Sun", feels as if they are both struggling for happiness without one another, and are living “less-meaningful” lives, especially in the memory and wake of what TRUE happiness once was. So she must choose whether or not to give him "some time" or 2nd chance; lest she continue her fall into the sun... ...as he falls after her into it. |
