| Ween – Happy Colored Marbles Lyrics

This is such a simple yet complicated collection of beautiful, random, noise that is without a doubt no less than a masterpiece. Along with the accompanying song "Zoloft", it's about someone who is convinced that they are happy, but it's just the drugs. |

This is easily one of my favorite Ween songs. This is an ideal song for when me and my girlfriend are hammocking in my backyard. |

In the Album "All Request Live" this was the only time that The Stallion parts 1-5 is played. Probably the only time that it will. |

This song is about Gene's first "real job" in a Mexican place in New Hope. In the last stanza it is about one in particular difficult customer. |

| Ween – Spinal Meningitis (Got Me Down) Lyrics
| 5 years ago
|
This song is about Aaron Freeman's (Gene Ween) niece that had spinal meningitis. Aaron's family knew that she had this disease and they didn't take her to the doctor's. It's not that they didn't love her, they just thought "God will help her." - "We don't need doctors." So smile on Mighty Jesus" is the family smiling on Jesus to help their child. The child ends up dying and Aaron had been telling them that she would die if they trusted the one that practically killed her (God).
This is a very eerie song and even worse when you get the real backstory. |
