| Dramarama – Anything, Anything Lyrics | 3 years ago |
| I think its fairly obvious that its about a toxic relationship and its likely the protagonist himself is the problem. He appears to have a controlling relationship ("I let you....." is language you should never use with a partner, they are their own person!) and she\'s become disillusioned with him. Further he\'s drinking abusively and seems to think buying her thinks will make her love him. But love isn\'t transactional, and she\'s obviously unhappy.\n\nShe calls her father and it turns into a brawl (dont do this fellas) and he hasn\'t got any insight into why she wants to leave.\n\nSo he\'s alone, angry, and perhaps a little frightened and in grief. He\'s alone again, and he knows he messed up, but lacks the insight to know why.\n\nGreat song, and it captures so much of where a codependent relationship can go really really wrong. | |
| Cardiacs – Eden On The Air Lyrics | 5 years ago |

Not sure if I can parse this one. But theres one thing worth noting. Cardiacs come from Kingston on the Thames. Theres a big street going down that called "Eden Street". I'm not sure if the song refers to that, the Garden of Eden, or if it means both. Odd/Even comes up a few times on the album, with Tim Smith seemingly taking a preference for Even over Odd. |
