| To me, this song has a lot in common with "I'll Meet You There". Both seem to be about how a person might feel about loved ones they can't be with at the moment. This one seems to be more specifically about how that might feel after passing. He's "above the atmosphere", and can't be found because he can disappear. Sounds like he's a spirit. Climbing the stairs to watch the "sun"? Sounds like going to heaven. “The colors” can be light, or god, which fills the world with his spirt. From there, he can observe everything. He is still present for those he loves, though the energy of what surrounds them. The rain and darkness are a good fit for sadness or depression. There's none where he is; none comes "up the stairs" to heaven. A person half asleep who doesn't know what time it is... is tired. If the people he loves are tired and sad, he wants them to get free of that and feel the energy he’s delivering. | |
