This song is about as straight forward as AFI gets, and its fucking tight. the scream in the begining of the track is great and you know there was a ton of emotion put into it. What makes this song even better is that it was origionaly released of the 7" "Dork" vinyl, AFI's first release. It was then rereleased on "Answer That and Stay Fasionable" but only on the vinyl version. Now, maybe if I get lucky I'll just fucking die. |

I think this song is about seeing ghost I could be wrong because its pretty vague but thats my interpretation of this song.
Oh, and AFI just happenes to be on Dexter Holland's, of the Offspring, label, and that is why they covered the song. And yes, they DID butcher it in their cover version. |

I think in this song Davey is trying to show that some people in a postion to influence other will turn them into mindless drones. I picture a political figure or something like that when I listen to this song, spewing a mass of propoganda to influence people in a way they wouldn't normaly be. This is another one of my favorite AFI songs.

The narrorator in this song, Davey, I assume, is obviously tired of not being able to give someone close to him any trust. He goes on to tell us "You tell lies to my friends and think they won't get back to me", and he explains that he has trust to give but just not to the person that has betrayed him. He also adds that he will not be broken by this loss of trust. In my oponion I think the first three lines in this song are the most important: NO TRUST CAN BE GIVEN FREELY ITS A VALUABLE COMMODITY.
