| Paul McCartney – Junior's Farm Lyrics

I love the Beatles and I love Paul McCartney and I remember thinking Junior's Farm was Paul starting to rock again in his solo career but...Junior's Farm is basically a song about how great it is to be a millionaire and how shitty it is not to be. Nixon was resigning around the time the song was written and for a while you could only get an edited version of the song with the "President Parliament" verse excised. Somebody didn't want to hurt George W. Bush's feelings while he was looking for WMD's in Iraq....the singer proudly boasts about cheating at poker. A senior citizen is distressed about inflation and the singer once again comes back with how he's playing poker and making thousand dollar bets while the old man probably can't afford his polident. Too bad Paul couldn't have replaced the censored verse with something about Polident. |
