| JC Chasez – 100 Ways Lyrics | 5 years ago |
| This song's definitely about sex. It's more than that though. Also, think it's a message to women telling them to ask for sex when they want it & to want satisfied, not to feel ashamed. Women often get labeled negatively if they admit to enjoying sex. The reason I say that is because he makes a lot of references to wanting to satisfy her. ("100 positions, until you get off", "Anytime you need me", "I'm going downtown where it's business as usual"...) The chorus is "speak your mind, 100 ways, it's better for ya, don't be a slave" he's telling her don't be submissive to me, tell me what you want I want to satisfy you. | |
| JC Chasez – Everything You Want Lyrics | 5 years ago |
| This song is about fame. Not being able to maintain relationships because you work & have publicity. Feeling guilty for wanting to work & make more money. Having everything & not being able to have everything. I've also wondered if this isn't cathartic therapy about Lou Pearlman. | |

This song was on their "No strings attached" cd, which came out in 2000, the millenium. During that time, they had the Y2K scare & people thought the world was gonna end. *Nsync was dealing with their personal battle of breaking off with Lou Pearlman & they have stated a lot of the songs on this cd were inspired by that. Also, *Nsync was never taken seriously by other artists & critics because they were a "boy band". Yet, they had a lot of tech & other things that were firsts during this time period. They inspired a lot of future "pop" musicians. That being said let me get into my theory of what this song means. "Here it comes millenia..beginning or beginning of the end?" This lyric has double meaning, it was the millenia & people thought the world was going to end. They weren't sure how successful they were going to be after the legal battle with Lou Pearlman but they wanted to keep pursuing their music anyway. "Well, I've got other thought my friends..." This is positivity, hope, & faith that they were going to succeed in their pursuits. "Strap on a suit & get inside" Be my fan, you won't be disappointed. "If you wanna fly, Come and take a ride, Take a space ride with a cowboy, baby" Space is a metaphor for "future". Cowboy is a metaphor for "pioneer". *Nsync were future pioneers of pop music. They did a lot of stuff that was new to the music industry. The first part of the chorus is saying if you want to be my fan, we're gonna rock your world by making new music. "We don't need all these prophecies...so leave your doubts & your fears behind." They don't need critics telling them what they're capable of, they know they have something special. Keep being positive & looking to the future, regardless of what other people say. " Don't be afraid at all...up in outer space is like a wild wild west." They had previous success & weren't afraid to try new things, even if they failed. "Sonic boom & never let you try to stop me... keep the faith one love from Left eye." This is "Left eye" encouraging *Nsync to pursue their ambitions because she thinks their going to succeed. "Millenium sound will motivate the future years" She knows their going to inspire future generations because they were doing new things. "You've been hit to be scared" Referring to critics & other artists underestimating them because they were doing "new" things. |
