| I confess that many of the lines aren’t clear to me. But if I can just say, the frequent references to sexual orientation here, no offense intended, certainly miss the point. The feelings being expressed in the song are universal, regardless of sexuality. I mentioned I don’t get everything in the song, but I definitely see and feel how it reaches for deeper truths and the realities we ALL have to struggle with, no matter who we love. Drop the pronouns and forget who’s gay and who’s not and whatever. The song is about all of us. Step back and think....relationships...life..can be damn hard on everybody. Maybe if we stopped caring about what should actually be irrelevant, (at least in a better world) we might help each other figure out those deeper truths. Everyone on here has something to contribute, a perspective, that helps. And everything else is just static. | |
