Well,here we are. 15 years later. 1 and 1/2 decades after the monumental release of the song "speed of sound". Though i was very young when this track was announced, i distinctly remember this specific song out of the album my mom had playing on her 6-disc-changer in our "2002 Ford Explorer". The distinct piano rift was and will forever remain an unsurpassed masterpiece in itself. this track reaches down to the deepest parts of my soul. this song connects with me on a level that is on-par with a spiritual encounter. I believe this song is about self-discovery. taking life at a good pace. do not rush ahead and try to live ahead of yourself. "if you could see it then you would understand". sometimes, a decision so tough when you were young seems to be such a simple choice merely years later. this song is a timeless reminder. | I love the 90s grungy feel that traditional Linkin Park was always able to provide. The lyrics are somehow more raw and natural then the Studio version from Hybrid Theory in 2000. This version is so much more haunting and leaves you curious to explore more of Hybrid Theory's songs | |
