no one has commented on this yet? this is one of their top songs if you ask me. its gotta be about how people these days seem praise the pop culture that is on the radio these and will listen to whatever they are told by the mainstream music stations. lines like "i know you hear it, i hear it too, its everywhere that i go" you cant seem to escape the "popular" song of a time. no matter what you'll hear it cuz its so over played. "you come back another day, and do no wrong" because some of these artists get that one hit song that may be good, and from there they just let go, and start mass producing garbage music just because they know they can get away with it and make money. definitely a great song musically and lyrically |

ok, first, go buy this CD, then go find rated R, its a blue cover with a white stripe through it. thats CD is still their bread and butter. it was so different than anything else when it came out. it's not quite as "heavy" but it still whoops major ass. and if your lucky enough to come across their first album as a band....check that out, i downloaded most of the tracks and they also whoop ass. and even better...look into oliveri and homme's first band Kyuss. Its not as good as Queens of the Stone Age, but its definitley worth a listen. |

the way i interpret this song probably is wrong, but it comes from my own realation to it. maybe its just me, but when im alone sometimes and nothings going on, i start to think about everything, and i think thats what this song is about. "the empty room it fills my mind" like hes looking around, noticing every little detail, "as these words part with my tongue, i question why they even sung" "today and tomarrow have become one"........all of these are almost philosophical ideas that people seem to think about when they are alone and let their mind run free. or maybe im just a whack job. |
