@[rockographer:53695], this late morning, stopping by a cafeteria in Torino, Italy, a city I was 20 years ago, with no eye issue nor arthritis pain, I suddenly felt saddest and more lost than usually. Then the Tin Man went on the air, and it was like a friend cheering me up. I’m in line with your explanation. Thanks for it. |

To me, it’s absolutely the contrary. This man, not anymore a young one, thought he was a hard boiled one with no woman able to reach his heart and he realizes he’s not but he’s too proud to admit it. His heart is broken, he’s obviously suffering and he convinces himself he’ll soon go back to his former life and find another woman (more than one) and will forget. That’s the way The Marshall Tucker’s played it when I saw them, it’s a very emotional one and there are men like this old cowboy. I knew one, somehow too proud to admit he was in love and was ready to leave after an argument (maybe what happened there, leading him to wait at the station, lonely and broke, probably losing hair and feeling pain in his bones from long times away rodeos because he’s not the young bronco he used to be anymore). He was smart enough and I was pitiful enough to communicate so we didn’t waste love and he’s still around. |
