There's not a single respected biblical scholar on the planet who actually thinks the Exodus happend. They say it's "allegory" or "metaphor". Now, for what, I couldn't tell you. My guess would be: "not even babies are safe from his jealousy and wrath". But that's me.

Yes this is about the story of Moses but I also see it as a satire poking fun at a God who kills babies and the absurdity of anyone foolish enough to revere or worship it.
After all: how many Christian's refer to their God as "Creeping death" and how many church services do you think sang this hymn? |
