"A creation is born on sympathetic chords [cords]" "Sympathetic" here, I believe, is referring to the sympathetic nervous system, part of the autonomic nervous system. "Chords" (or cords) is perhaps playing on both a musical reference (relating musical chords to life and feeling), and to all of the "cords" of nerve tissue running down from the brain, through the spine, and out to various organs. |
