Music is always subjective. I view this song about intrusive thoughts and how we all cope with them. A man whos anxious about most things hears his wife say the name of her ex "that isn't my name" "forget what he did" The man realizes he has the same types of thoughts as his wife even if he doesn't want to. He then goes into detail about how we cope with these unwanted thoughts. The end of the song could suggest his wife cheated on him, or it could be him coming to peace with his thoughts. |
