I think this song is about the end of a catastrophic even (most likely a war) and all the overwhelming emotions that come with it, the bittersweet relief that it's finally over. After the destruction has ended everyone is celebrating, holding hands and dancing. But as the days go by and society slowly goes back to normal so must the people return to their original lives, leaving both the pain and the cheering behind them. |

| @[treant:32052] I don't think the odalisque actually committed suicide in the end (at least not right away), with the last lines being a repetition of the lazy lady having a baby it might actually mean that the odalisque had a baby and the cycle will repeat (which makes it all the more dark) | |
