To me, this song hits deep. "Can't be good for my health So many different faces Depending on the different phases My personality changes I'm a chameleon" It's a perfect analogy to how I mask my autistic traits. I don't believe that Gwen Stephani is autistic like me, but nonetheless I can't help but relate so deeply to this message. The way I put on an act around people. I'm always terrified they'll think I'm weird and inappropriate like bullies through grade school did. They made the masks, and it was made through shame. |
