@[rgforest:31969] I do not think there is anything tongue in cheek about it. It is really quite a heartfelt apology for apparently "objectifying" women in the song you mentioned. As he says "It has made me blind and deaf and weak but most of all It shows you that I'm wrong".

@[KingRex:31966] Nah I completely disagree. Todd fell in love in high school. And it affected him deeply influencing many of his early love songs. He is remembering the magic of falling in love in this song and of course it was easy to put down because it was so much the dominant concern in his life. As first loves go, he gradually lost her and you can see his music becoming noticeably darker and more philosophical starting with the AWATS album.

@[FatesWarning:31965] Yes. Todd has been very straightforward about this. He had a high school first love that lasted into his music career. He has stated that almost all of his early love songs are directly influenced by his feelings while he gradually lost her. I believe the relationship collapsed of it's own weight, however, as first loves often do.
