Rag'n'Bone Man – Human Lyrics 3 years ago
I have rewatched the video while looking at the lyrics a few times After a Man named Mark Christopher, who is trying to teach people how to escape legal fictions ("The Empire of Lies" as he refers to it (which may or may not have to do with the concept of Natural Law versus Legal Law): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYdAxmpIw6U ), this song now has a deeper interpretation to me than at its surface level when I first listened to the song a year or two ago:\n\nHuman := something that we have been conned into believing that we are, some kind of degraded animal resembling a man but corrupted so that it is not a man.\nMan := what we actually are, a Man (or Woman), a powerful being created in the image of the creator\n\nI\'m only human\nI\'m only, I\'m only\nI\'m only human, human\n\n-- he starts off with the idea from his programming that he is just a limited and flawed "human"\n\nMaybe I\'m foolish\nMaybe I\'m blind\nThinkin\' I can see through this\nAnd see what\'s behind\nGot no way to prove it\nSo maybe I\'m lyin\'\n\n- he is starting to see the deception intuitively, however, he is doubting himself and has no proof so he thinks that maybe he (or even his own intuition) is lying to himself\n\nBut I\'m only human after all\nI\'m only human after all\nDon\'t put your blame on me\nDon\'t put your blame on me\n\n-- he still thinks that he is a flawed human and making mistakes is inevitable so he asks to be forgiven because he thinks it is not his fault because he cannot be perfect\n\nTake a look in the mirror\nAnd what do you see?\nDo you see it clearer\nOr are you deceived\nIn what you believe?\n\n-- he is starting to see his real true self in the mirror, and asks others if they can see their real selves too or if they are still being deceived by their programming\n\n\'Cause I\'m only human after all\nYou\'re only human after all\nDon\'t put the blame on me\nDon\'t put your blame on me\n\n-- now he is kind of sarcastically saying without believing, that he is only human and mocking others for trying to blame him\n\nSome people got the real problems\nSome people out of luck\nSome people think I can solve them\nLord, heavens above\nI\'m only human after all\nI\'m only human after all\nDon\'t put the blame on me\nDon\'t put the blame on me\n\n-- he is acknowledging others that have real problems, and complaining that they think that he has all of the answers for them, feeling overwhelmed and burdened by their expectations\n\nDon\'t ask my opinion\nDon\'t ask me to lie\nThen beg for forgiveness\nFor making you cry\nFor making you cry\n\n-- he is telling people to stand up for themselves in their own power and deal with their own problems rather than be dependent upon him; he starts off by saying opinions are irrelevant (as opposed to facts) and that wants to be in integrity rather than ever lie or deceive again \n\n\'Cause I\'m only human after all\nI\'m only human after all\nDon\'t put your blame on me\nDon\'t put the blame on me\n\nOh, some people got the real problems\nSome people out of luck\nSome people think I can solve them\nLord, heavens above\nI\'m only human after all\nI\'m only human after all\nDon\'t put the blame on me\nDon\'t put the blame on me\nI\'m only human\nI make mistakes\nI\'m only human\nThat\'s all it takes\nTo put the blame on me\nDon\'t put the blame on me\n\n-- incorrectly assuming that he is human is how the court or govern-mental institutions put the blame on him (tell him that he is guilty of something)\n\n\'Cause I\'m no prophet or Messiah\nYou should go looking somewhere higher\n\n-- he is telling others to seek connection to the highest power (the creator) rather than ask him to solve their problems for them\n\nI\'m only human after all\nI\'m only human after all\nDon\'t put the blame on me\nDon\'t put the blame on me\nI\'m only human\nI do what I can\nI\'m just a man\nI do what I can\nDon\'t put the blame on me\nDon\'t put your blame on me\n\n-- he finally realizes that he is a Man who is standing in his power, and telling others that they can no longer put blame on him (trick him into agreeing that he is guilty of something)

Faithless – Mass Destruction Lyrics 5 years ago
@[musical_snob:35303] There are two versions of this song, the Album version contains that verse, the remix that was released as a single that most people are familiar with does not contain that verse. The remix is also included he end of the album but was not originally intended to be on the album (I don't think since it is kind of stuck on at the end, while the rest of the songs all flow into each other seamlessly).

@[Scolopax:35302] Thank you, I away's thought it was "Soar-away Sun", Where I live in Toronto Canada, we have two major popular newspapers, The Sun, and The Star. We do also have that silly "Sun" tabloid here too. I think he is talking about a "Sun" newspaper since it would make sense that he would criticize to media outlets for putting out misinformation in the same line.

Ministry – NWO Lyrics 5 years ago
A song I remember listening to in high school and not knowing what it was about since I was still asleep. However, waking up a decade later to the New World Order and conspiracy theories around them (that they are a bunch of globalists that want to establish a one-world totalitarian government and reduce the population to about 500 million so the population can be more easily controlled), I view the lyrics in that context:

"All the locals hide their tears of regret" - the people are sorry that they have allowed themselves to be manipulated into giving their rights and freedoms way out of fear, yet they have to hide this from the new totalitarian government for their safety.

"Open fire 'cause I love you to death" - "big brother" cares so much about you that if you resist they will open fire on protesting crowds, etc.

"You'll never see me 'cause I'm always alone" - as part of the depopulation agenda they want to keep men and women separated to discourage mating. We see the divorce rate is high, many men are going MGTOW, romantic relationships are becoming a thing of the past. Also, this eerily reminds me of "social distancing" and "self-isolating" under quarantine in 2020. In some countries, they have even made it illegal for even married couples to visit each other if they live in separate homes during the lock-down.

"How to love without a trace of dissent" - the authorities demand absolute love of the government, and will not tolerate dissent.

"I'll buy the torture 'cause you pay for the rent" - reminds me of the idea universal basic income, but to receive it you have to comply with the wishes of the government no matter how degrading or harmful those things are.

"Tied high with a broken command" - our leaders have betrayed us and let us down, selling out to evil rather than serving the people.

"You're all alone to the promised land" - once again we are separated and divided from each other in their (the globalist's) "promised land"

"I'm in love with this malicious intent" - reminds me of a person who has been brainwashed by "big brother" to love him despite being oppressed by him.

"You've been taken but you don't know it yet" - the many sheep that do not realize what is really going on, trusting their government completely and naively.

"What you will know must never live to be found" - someone who is awake must not be allowed to spread the truth, the authorities must oppress the truth.

"'Cause it's the subject of the eyes of the clown" - the government and other "sheeple" shaming anyone who is awake to see the truth in order to try to shut them up, kind of like calling someone a "conspiracy theorist" these days

R.E.M. – Shiny Happy People Lyrics 5 years ago
I heard that REM wrote this song in response to people complaining that all of their songs were depressing. I have also heard that REM absolutely hate this song, and that Michael Stipe once said in an interview that the song "had not redeeming qualities".

My personal interpretation was that the song was actually sarcastically singing about a bunch of people being happy at a funeral.

"Meet me in the crowd, people, people
Throw your love around, love me, love me
Take it into town, happy, happy
Put it in the ground where the flowers grow
Gold and silver shine"

- I thought this was about going to a funeral home where there was a crowd of people, then they move the coffin to somewhere in town, and then they bury it in the ground. Also, I thought the Gold and silver shine might be some kind of religious reference to church beliefs or something.

"Everyone around, love them, love them
Put it in your hands, take it, take it
There's no time to cry, happy, happy
Put it in your heart where tomorrow shines
Gold and silver shine"

- everyone there is there because they loved them and now their dead
- everyone grabbing some dirt in their hands to throw on top of the coffin (I think they have done this at some funerals that I have been to)
- there's no time to cry, put it in your heart where tomorrow shines (sarcastically, just telling them to get over it fast and get on with their life)

I now see the earlier comments about the references to Chinese propaganda starting with the line "Shiny happy people holding hands" after after Tiananmen Square, so that is probably what the song is about, but maybe that is why there are things in it that reminded me about death and funerals.
