To me this song is about a person that we loved and lost and their ghost still haunts us. Somebody killed me And tore out my heart, my love Somebody killed me Because of you It doesn't mean that it literally killed him but the lost has made them feel like their heart is missing and it's only filled "pictures of you" or memories of that love, but they're only images and not real anymore. All that's left are the memories and the nightmares that come at night. It's quite personal and deep. Maybe I'm a bit on the older side with a few ghosts in my own past, but I think it's a hauntingly beautiful song that has nothing to do with a fictional character. |
