@[serkeloth:32395] that was a great explanation much further than I can see and have studied on it. My argument isn't w you but w the relaying of the message to people w out any sight passed their eyes and can break down the bare bones of any subsurface cog of the wheel of reality and it just seemed too distorted to relate more clearly but their awesome and that's just my opinion on the content, depth and lyrics of that song...which I am fixing to listen to once again. Bc it's art that's relevant to an actual invisible to the eye reality chks. ✌️ |

If ur going to bother opening you're third eye then use it for more constructive ways or criticism than applying emphasis on a political upheaval in this country. Study and focus on how to prevent it from occurring in the future by seeing what is the actual cause of the problem. I love the song and tools signature sound but the depth of the content needs addressing. I'd go back to bare chords and write an entire series set around that progression and crescendo of the bridge. Tell the masses what they don't know and come off the highboard in finding an answer that u can express detailed enough for the others to comprehend.

I believe it's like this - he understood he was born w a family and part of it but stood out respectively to others bc of his talent. His parents turned a blind eye to the reality he understood but they thought was just a phase or just non achievable dream and never supported anything he did not just the talent. Abusive verbally and physically created a monster w this internal reality that he lived inside that others couldn't see or know other than by him telling or trying to explain to them. He them carried the monster w him as he went and it grew from minion to Demon bc of how fucked he felt by those he was supposed to count on and believe their input. Then adult and in the world he had to adjust bc he was mad at every body including himself for believing their bullshit. Like most talented musicians/artists drugs became the ally and escape from day to day shit in the world to a full emersion into his own reality. But guilt somewhere played a big part bc he was made to believe he was wrong when nothing was wrong w him but yet others lacked the ability to see how awesome his talent was. He probably got close to death many more times than once and through desire to see where it would lead and anger to show everyone he isn't wrong or a failure he worked his way back to good enough to maintain but still can snap at milli sec on something or someone bc he lived within that reality of theirs so long he got sickness or a cancer from it and it pissed him off further. But this song I can feel all of it. Love. Betrayal. Anger. Guilt. Madness. And can hear the beauty of mastermind ing it into a constructive outlet for holding what was in there. I would not want to be the person he directed it towards and then get to listen to it when he brought it by completed bc I'm sure that was a day of change to the soul of that person ever really cared for him at all. I love it but it hurts

it's about coming back from the brink of the void after self medicating w drugs 10 to the 33rd. The addict part of him "machinehead" had everything figured out but it was killing the soul the person and the temple. Wasting time wondering or procrastinating on making a move for the better or just letting it consume him led to "starting to deserve this" the bad everywhere in his life. "Feeling like electric light" created or born in reality and useful but blood taste like wine concious all the time and if had to do again he'd change it all. For our love for fear against the rise of years×3. Mortality setting in that he's not invincible and someday will die. But "Got a Machinehead" means he was the best at it that he knew. He stayed stratosphere high until he decided to make the move of prosperity into his future and not the grave. But truly only the writer would know for sure
