Sia – Jesus Wept Lyrics 4 years ago
The lyrics make more sense if it's "the resurrection of me". When you pause after saying "the", you might well use the long sound of "e".

Coldplay – Hymn for the Weekend Lyrics 6 years ago
When you are working at meditation every day, you gradually learn that you have no control, you have no influence, you have no way to predict what's going to happen. Usually if you're feeling at a low level of consciousness, not much is going to happen. But sometimes it does, miraculously; you leave your body, you see the stars. You feel high, you feel drunk. If you experience it, then you'll know. I believe the writer has done so.

Coldplay – In My Place Lyrics 6 years ago
As the Beatles accurately described it, the spiritual path is a long winding road. I believe Coldplay is here singing about what it's like when you have made progress on the inner spiritual planes but then screw up and get "left down here on your own." Your inner Guide abandons you. You beg; you wonder how long you must pay for it. How long must we wait?

Coldplay – A Sky Full of Stars Lyrics 6 years ago
This is a simple and beautiful description of how we feel at one stage of Surat Shabd meditation. You see stars. Behind them in the astral (luminous) form of the Master.

Coldplay – Viva la Vida Lyrics 6 years ago
This is another song by Coldplay with imagery and metaphor describing what everyone goes through to achieve spiritual growth. We all start out with a big ego. It wants to rule the world and makes us feel as strong and powerful as if we did. Of all the negative baggage we carry, ego is the last to go, the most difficult to get past. As we make progress in that task, we experience the fall he describes.

Never an honest word describes how we gain worldly power. (Think Trump for an extreme example.)

Those who are lucky enough to find a living perfect master are ushered into an inner spiritual world where the Music of the Spheres guides our way. As we reach higher and higher levels or planes of consciousness, we hear different sounds. Some resemble drums; the sound that takes us out of our body is that of large bells.

Coldplay – Clocks Lyrics 6 years ago
Like for so many Coldplay songs, I see a spiritual theme in this one, which is why I believe it is so evocative, since we all have consciousness beneath our surface longing for discovery and expression. The first stanza describes exactly how it feels if you've been making progress in meditation and then hit the long dark night of the soul.

Yet you cannot stop. Why? Because when it works, "nothing else compares." The goal is our spiritual home. What do you discover along the way? "You are."
