@[mdreed:31523] I believe this is the most accurate interpretation. I've had plenty of suicidal thoughts in my life. Sia's music just screams suicide. Flames and Chandelier are very suicide'ish. She is going to live life and try to distract herself from the immense pain. She is actually trying to survive despite her suicidal desires. She is 'holding on for tonight' and living like 'tomorrow doesn't exist' because it may very well not if she goes through with her suicide. All the drinking and alcohol are just to give her a good time and distract from her immense pain and desire to die. |
