so so so like Beyonce's "Sandcastles", Selena's "Back to you"..... but I feel like this track is even more genuine.... "I slept it away, I sexed it away I read it away... I tried to dance it away I tried to change it with my hair" explains the things that ppl do to try and forget ppl and at times which dont work because the mind is an active inference engine which can never unknow a lover/ex... and which will always compare current lovers to past ones unwittingly..... Grass is not always greener on the other side..... each person is born with unique gifts... and at times we leave our own soulmates and as time goes by, we never find anyone better and we start yearning for them... sometimes we leave people because of their material possessions but you can never unkno or stop yearning for true love |

This song kind of reminds me of Beyonce's Sister (Solange)'s own stunning and poignant "Cranes in the sky" and Jill Scott's "Can't Explain 42nd Street Happenstance" and "back to you" by Selena..... It is about people who leave people for some reasons but it turns out their herats are still in love with those ppl they left.... "Oh, and although I promised that I couldn't stay, baby Every promise don't work out that way, oh, babe" ... shows what regret feels like, sometimes u leave someone cuz relatives or friends encourage you to but then a heart will always want what it wants... it can never unknow a lover and what he/she was like... the mind is an inference engine and always compares current lovers to any past lovers, unwittingly "Pictures snatched out the frame Bitch, I scratched out your name and your face What is it about you that I can't erase, baby?" this track also explains why ppl suddenly get back together even while having split for years....
