For me the song talk about how he lose in love and how he spend time with drugs for forget: 1.'Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again '(He talks about depression. Everyday is the same shit.) 2.'Look up you're in Cleveland again'(Here is a self-criticism. He understands that he is repeating the same thing over and over again, getting high and losing his mind.) 3.'A solid line that never ends'(we can understand like lines of cocaine and u never get satisfied) 4.'I've got stories that you'll never believe'(talk about the psychedelic trips experience) 5.'And I know it I wear, I wear it on my sleeve There must be somethin 'about you that I liked but right here in the rain you know it just don't seem right'(He agrees to be addicted and still feels that what he does is wrong but he can't stop) 6.'Testify my love for you'(He is not sure if he is in love, or if an addiction) 7.'And I know it runs deep through your body too'(He claims that he is not the only one) 8.'Somewhere in America in the city at night We were far from home but you know it was gonna be alright'(It means that, despite being sad, far from everything that made him happy, he has something to have fun with it) 9.'The unfortunate get prayed on by vultures eyes'(the unfortunate prefer to die) 10.'86 cents in these pockets of mine And you can take my money, you can take my time But you can't take my heart it's in the city behind'(He lost every penny in drugs because he lose his heart time ago and he didn't care about living anymore). Thats my interpretation! Rancid Rules! |
