@[MusicDiva2000:31190] If you get the chance, watch the Documentary... Shut Up And Sing!! All Natalie Maines said was that she was "ashamed that the President is from Texas" (Referring to George W. Bush, of course) Not only was she shouted down and boycotted by radio stations and conservative-minded fans alike... There were several DEATH THREATS made against her and the Dixie Chicks! Unfu*king believable!!

@[aussiegirl87:31189] Yes... It is our 1st Amendment Rights (from our Bill of Rights)... Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of the Press, and Freedom to Assemble Peaceably. The greatest irony in all of this is that the folks that were most vocal in shouting the Dixie Chicks down... If someone were to try and abridge their 2nd Amendment Rights (the Right to Keep and Bear Arms) they would be annihilated!! Oh, but, let's trample on someone else's rights!! The saddest and most disturbing part of this story is that they were not only told, "Shut up and sing!" They were also sent DEATH THREATS!! WTF is wrong with people!! If you don't like someone's opinion... you SHOULD 1. Just say, "I don't like your opinion!" 2. IGNORE THEM... 3. Say, "Your opinion is incorrect and here's the correct info..." BUT... DEATH THREATS!! What kind of FREAKIN' ANIMALS!! Right??

@[tootsie0945:31188] I appreciate intelligent folks of all political leanings! I'm still absolutely mystified at a group of people (clearly, not you)... Who would fight anyone who tried to mess with their 2nd Amendment Rights... that would turn around and trample someone else's 1st Amendment Rights!! And yeah, the death threats were ABOVE AND BEYOND STUPID, as well as horrifying!! Please be strong and help to temper the Conservatives in YOUR sphere of influence to be RIGHT on top of being RIGHT WING!! LOL... Death threats for an opposing opinion (right, wrong, or other) is just NOT RIGHT. But, YOU already knew that!! : )

But this song, at least, is enough to say that about... But, who knows a song CAN have more than one significance. There's no rule against it. : )
