He practically helped raised as his own daughter with Bebe while they where still together. It was later on that the real father was Steve Tyler of Aerosmith. | |

The song is usually considered as a break up song as a ultimatum from the person tried of waiting on their other half to get their act together or just let the relationship end and just move on just be "set free". The real meaning of the song was really from the lead singer and bassist Kasim Sulton situation with the group being under contract with Bearsville Records which band leader Todd Rundgren also was under. He wanted to negotiate under new terms with the record company or just be let go. He briefly left the group but returned when Utopia signed with a new record company Network Records in 1982. |
