| Norah Jones – Humble Me Lyrics | 6 years ago |
| @[somethingliketreclo:31019] I did not get that at all. I lost my son in 2015. It was the most humbling experience. When we love someone with every fiber of our being and we lose them, we question everything we ever did, didn't do, said and didn't say. There is shame. "The truth spoke in whispers will tear you apart" is a brilliant line. This song is about loneliness, sorrow, the pain of mistakes, yet still being connected by love....."I don't want to call you but you're all I have to turn to".... She is alone and empty. At times like these, we find ourselves kneeling before God, bearing our souls.... completely and utterly humbled. . | |
