Germany the size of Texas, Italy the size of Florida, Japan the size of California... so basically 3 US states took on the entire planet Earth, including 2 superpowers & ALMOST won. They were clearly superior & the spoils of war which included NASA, CIA, priceless science stolen from Berlin prove it to this day. The 40 million Germans (mostly civilians) that died is hardly mentioned as they were slaughtered like cattle after the war...but we always here about 6 million Jews. This song is not only GREAT...but catalogues a great group of soldiers retreating against a Russian Force who's only choice was to die in the field or die in retreat from Stalin's hand.
