| I absolutely love this song and feel very strongly it is about eternal love and life ,, as my Christian minister once counseled me after a loss of a very dear loved one ..... my minister said to me .... this is not the end for your loved but a beautiful new beginning you will one day have yourself and be reunited to be together forever .... the poetry is amazing and James Hetfield is a Christian and so embraces the eternity of an afterlife .... Alot of their music is actually spiritual but just very deep and real .... the lyrics say May we walk straight and right ... that is to the light ,,, When flame consumes.... may it warm our dying bones .... this is not suicide music ... Christians whole heartedly believe you do not go to heaven if you take your own life ...... the song is about making sure you and the person you love most do right .or as the lyrics say .. it is you I am madly fighting for .. . so you can live together forever ... My absolute favorite song ever | |
