I just re-discovered this song again. I grew up listening to Steppenwolf, even saw them in concert a few time in the 70's and 80's. I'm an old guy (66) and this song sums up my life. A life of starting all over again so many times I lost count, always with the thought in mind it's never too late. Well guess what, it's too late for me. I'm lucky I'm not homeless, bless my oldest son. I've lost just about every thing I've ever Loved in my life. I have such a hard time trusting anyone anymore, how can I ever trust again! OH well that's me. It's an awesome song. I've always thought they were an underrated group. |
