The second line might be the opposite meaning that she was in control but now her lover is in control. I hear a voice out of the silence That can always bring me home Someone she has lost is telling her what to do to stop the fight. Don't let me go Now I'm right where I want to be Don't let me go You cut straight to the heart of me She doesn’t want her partner to abandon her and Sophie wants it to be as it used to be. Cut to the heart means making someone so distressed that it actually damages their emotional health and recovering for a long time. Forever want for nothing Caught in a place where I'm released from fear So in my dreams I'm running Towards the light that came and brought us here She’s having a dream where Fear is banished from sight. To leave the dream, she heads to the light that began the dream. So a song about a break up where Sophie tries to prevent it by talking to her deceased relative. She dreams that they are still together even though they are probably not. |

I think this whole album is to do with the artwork. On the cover, it seems there are two bodyguards: the woman could be Saffron from Saffron’s Curse and the creepy monster may be Cthulhu. Then, there’s a devil head at the top which could be the guy saying: Oh sweet Midian I burn for thee at heart Don't despair me Come bare me on wings of graveyard robbed leather To where pleasure rings deep secrets In spurts after dark. In the booklet, a woman goes up stairs and a creepy man with greasy hair and a horrific mouth is seen. The woman might be Midian: A paranormal being who lives in her dimension. A guy tries to noter the place and in Saffron’s Curse, he backfires the curse at Saffron and dies. In Death Magick For Adepts, an explosion at the end is heard and I think that song is about the guy trying to make a potion without being harrased by monsters. He exits the place while it explodes. Throughout the album, I think he goes through the labrynth and in Tortured Soul Asylum, there are two theories: 1, he turns to bones and dies in a cell and number 2, he kills Midian while the dimension explodes as he makes it out alive... |
