Ok... I just saw that the website I found his widow's birthday had transposed the year. They had 1987 listed when it is actually 1978.... So the creep factor has just gone way down. So she didn't grow to be narcissistic, empty and entitled - She was already that way. I wish the best for all involved and am really grateful for all the incredible music he created. Thank you Chris Cornell. |

@[sooverthisbs:30333] - Thanks for your thoughts. There are so many things about this man's life that don't make any sense to me but are heart breaking nonetheless. I really don't believe that his wife had enough power to actually keep him from seeing his kids if they were to divorce. Suicide on the other hand makes it a definite that he no longer gets to see any of them. Also, no one ever mentions that he met his wife when she was 15 years old and he was 37 (unless I have my info wrong). He married her very shortly afterwards which seems like a very impulsive decision. He was a very good looking man FOR SOMEONE HIS AGE. She was not his age so for her I imagine his fame and wealth were very appealing. Also her mom seems incredibly impressed by him so I assume her daughter felt somewhat empowered by having a person like that take such an interest in her. She seems to have grown to be narcissistic, empty and entitled. I believe he was a very intelligent man that made many foolish life decisions and then felt trapped. My heart bleeds for his original family, his children and his friends. How devastating to imagine he felt he had no where to turn. What a loss! I do wish his widow would stop trying to milk every last drop of fame from the situation. Considering he latched onto a 15yo, she is somewhat of a victim, but it is time to develop her own identity now and not just keep trying to rewrite history. |
