My thoughts conjure up to believe that this song represents a couple going through a miscarriage. The night starts here can refer to two different nights where life would be considered to start. 1) the night they find out they're pregnant 2) the night following a miscarriage Throwing a coin into the sea and wishing something come back may represent wishing for the pregnancy back. The time it takes to become a man (conceiving a child) The time it takes to destroy a man (miscarriage) The ecstacy of being free (yeah miscarriages suck but you are trying to have a positive attitude of a future) The black cloud over you and me (although trying to stay positive, the black cloud (miscarriage) lingers there. The missing stone in the graveyard (there is not a grave for most miscarriages. Thoughts? |
