This song is about somebody who has buried their passions and true emotions because of the stresses of life. "When the voices screaming are much too loud" This is the protagonist's boss that just wants him to work and not be happy. The chorus describes literally being buried alive. Feeling trapped. The last line of the chorus, "It seems I've been buried alive" caught my attention. He's not actually buried, the word "seems" means it's a metaphor for feeling trapped. |

| I believe that it is about a man/woman that wants something in life. Maybe fame, money, power, love. However, he doesn't exactly know what he wants. He can see it in his future but he can't grasp it. He travels through life chasing this dream, but his dream causes him to slowly lose money as he gets older. Meanwhile the whole time his parents are telling him to stop and to snap back to reality. They ask, "What is it?", but he can't answer, only saying that, "It's it..." The song ends with a sad piano tune as he realizes his dream is impossible and he's already too old to be successful. He's wasted his life. | |
