To me this is about how they're both afraid to break up with each other because there's so much history between them but they don't understand each other either. I find this so relatable on so many levels! Maybe it's drugs. Or insanity! Or how one of them says they hate Christmas because they're a pagan but still wants a Christmas tree and to dress the kids up like little snowmen! But there's still hope for them!
