What this song spoke to me was this: This is a song of healing. Who's touched you child? Now you can't feel a thing. (Child of God, who hurt you? Your defenses keep you from feeling love from God and for others because of your wall of hurt and pain.) Who's been the one telling you lies? Now you'll believe anything. (Condemnation, from within or without, from a friend, loved one, relative, etc. Satan's scheme is to make us Christians forget our identities by causing us to focus on our failures, flaws and sins. If we focus on what we are not getting right in life, we lose our identity that we are new creatures in Christ, made new and Children of God. It's so easy for Satan to convince us that we are not loved by God or that we are not His children. Do you believe his lies or do you believe you are God's beloved?) Let it all come out. Right now. (Let all the pain, hurts, lies, injuries come out. Feel the pain and then let it go. DEAL WITH IT RIGHT NOW!!! Let all that junk out that is keeping you back and keeping you in fear. Let go of the condemnation and lies. You have to let go of whatever lies Satan has fed you and you have believed about yourself. Time to throw out the trash.) Lift yourself out of it all. (Lift yourself out of the lies and the pit of despair and hurt and pain and self-pity and condemnation.) Come out of the shadows into the Sun. (Quit hiding from the world and from God. Come to Him with ALL OF IT. It's time to be whole again.) Yesterday's over a new one's begun. (Time to heal from yesterday's hurt, pain and failures. Let yesterday go and start living IN THE NOW. It's a new day, that past is gone, quit focusing on what has happened to you in the past so that you can get on with it now.) You're only sick as all your secrets. (Get real with yourself and others. Quit being so afraid to be honest with God and others, NO MATTER HOW UGLY the truth is. It's time to confess your sins, so that you can be forgiven and cleansed and purified. When you have nothing to hide anymore, then you have no past to be fearful of. When you are up front an completely honest with God and others, then you have nothing to fear. Secrets keep you stuck behind walls of fear that others will find out and then you might be rejected.) The devil came to steal your name away, to give your name away. (Satan's specialty is always to steal a Christian's identity. If he can steal an identity, then he has completed his mission in alienating you from Christ.) |
