Not sure about the title, Beekeeper. However I read this as a song about a man who's woman left him and cheated. , as she was lonely in the relationship. His reaction is to tell her not to listen to what her friends say, they say he's gone too far in his accusations. But he is angry, and hurt and is lashing out, a temper tantrum that leaves you not wanting to be other humans. |

I listened to this song for the first time in many years. And I really like the fusion of the classical with the early beat box. A few thoughts. The song is clearly about a boyfriend or husband dying of a disease, I suspect cancer. And on the last verse, he clearly has passed. The cello gives the illusion of stepping down and down at the beginning of the verse. Very powerful. And the lyrics 'You're a fighter so fight Wake up and live' has always choked me up years ago, and today many years later continues to do so. |
