@[christoq:29414] We had liberal crap here (non US) a few years back too, now we´ve got a lot of right wing oingo boingo going round. I'm somewhere in the middle, left wing in some issues, right wing in others. What I get from the interview is that it´s about basically, people like us. A shout out to normal people who want to get real (and realistic); who try not to be the ones that ´know the most´ but do the least. A quick jot down of what Matt says in the interview (please forgive any mistakes): The question is: why did you put this song out first. Matt´s part of the reply: Musically, you know, we thought it kicked ass. And then lyrically you know, like, especially living in the coast, I'm just so sick of so much like... liberal crap shoved down our throats. Like, there´s a lot of real people in the middle of the country that do a lot for this country and we´re just giving a shout out to those people. The people in the armed forces, the people that are... you know, growing our food, the people who are driving trucks to make sure everyone´s fed, the people. The people that just eh.. that are the heartbeat of this country, so that´s what this song is about. I´m so sick of all these bands complaining about everything and doing all this stuff, but... I guess we´re just complaining on the other side. |
