i like dark music that has a lot of meanings behind the letter, i'm deep on my thoughts and always analyze every single detail about everything. i don't have a type of music, i'm open to everything.

The Neighbourhood – Wires Lyrics 6 years ago
Well, in the lyrics were said “The wires got the best of him” and “The wires getting older I can hear the way their creaking, as their holding him, I could see it in his jaw” at the first listening and knowing The NBHD and some of the dark lyrics they're used to write, automatically, sends me to an suicidal scenario, where the protagonist of the song killed himself.

Then, why he killed himself? Because of the things he made in the past. We can see it in the part where says “All that he invested in goes, straight to hell” another POV we can interpret when he said «he invested» if those “things” were totally fine, right, but, why it all has to go to hell?

A lot of people would assume that, those things will go straight to hell because the president is no more alive. But, if you see that lyric like the POV of the other paragraph, then, you have another story to tell.

In the other lyrics were said “Light at the beginning of the tunnel but he tells me that I'm dreaming, when he talks I hear his ghosts every word they say to me” you would have two hints, knowing the first POV, you can assure it was suicide but you now have another hint, the deceased was close to Jesse. Where we can find out more of that? On top lines “We talked about making it” they talked about those things, they were close enough.

Afterwards, you have the question what were those things they made, the things he was apologizing about. If he was asking for forgiveness means he made something wrong. The lyrics “That all he ever wanted was a job, he tells me to be raw” in the worst way of view I can imagine that the reason why he killed himself was because he was a hitman. And that is how everything connects.

Clarifying why I think those lyrics were said by the suicidal is this, in the song “Scary Love” you can hear or read a change in the subject that sings the song. They probably did the same in this song.

These lyrics “We talked about making it, I’m sorry that you never made it, and it pains me just to hear you have to say it” ensures the paragraph where I typed that who’s saying that is the deceased. My theory is that the suicidal tried to convince Jesse to kill the President with him, because he was too sick of killing people at that level, and he needed his friend (?) but Jesse wouldn’t accept that, and the protagonist of the song (the deceased) not knowing how to not accept that job preferred to kill himself.

Going back to these lyrics “We talked about making it, I’m sorry that you never made it, and it pains me just to hear you have to say it” with the theory above you can conclusion, those lyrics were perfectly said by the two of the men involved in the plot.

I guess I forgot something, but that’s all for today.

@[nil2105:29327] absolutely, yes. i was thinking the same while reading the comments, in my opinion, generally the nbdh reminds me of taking two pov's, the pov they want you to believe and the pov you really think it is. as you can see, the mv shows a girl who's trying to write her feelings and how she wants to be loved, and automatically, having the idea that she probably is taken far from her family and how is she feeling since that moment, i think she expresses some stockholm syndrome too.
