| @[eiwets:29229] You got it right (in my opinion). This is exactly how I've come to interpret the song, about 50 years after first hearing it. For years I figured that the lyrics were a sloppy attempt to say "You can do anything if you have Love." I slowly realized that this wasn't Lennon's style. He was straightforward: saying exactly what he meant. When you think about exactly what he was saying, it seems to be exactly what you are saying: You can't achieve the impossible. We are all limited...but, not to worry, we can be OK if we remember to love ourselves and all around us. | |
