Ray LaMontagne – All the Wild Horses Lyrics 7 years ago
When I was young, I lived like I had an endless supply of strength, ambition, fortitude. I could do anything and everything. I had 500 years ahead of me, it seemed to explore and live. A few decades later, I finally have learned that, like everyone, my time is limited, as is my energy, and all the more so as life goes on. Had I known, I wouldn't have run without having given more thought to the choices I made. I unwittingly tried to please others, cared too much what others thought, and here I am halfway through life and just now coming to terms with whom God has made me. I've seen the wold horses running on North Carolina's Outer Banks, and they run free together. They fly sometimes alone, sometimes side by side, and instead of constricted to another's idea of life, they are free to run as they were born to, yet all the while, they know they can only thrive if they do so together. IMHO.

@[AbbeyScott:28832] I don't think it's creepy. I think it's an insight into who you are. You were meant to be free, and in this world, it's hard to be so. Every relationship binds in some way, as both players vow to care and be cared for, and the entanglement, though invited, is at once both comforting and entangling. There is a place, I believe, where we can both run free, side by side, not tethered to the expectations and fears of the world. I pray your tears flow both joy and release.
