The song is a message of hope and resilience meant for a woman named Karen who is transgender and ultimately took her own life (in a film btw.). This song is featured in the soundtrack for the 2010 film The Last Song. It was co-written by the lead singer of The Flaming Lips, hence the psychedelic ballad feel. |

@[Gabinlove:45354] Right on, right on, right on! I am always impressed when individuals love a band and/or a song enough to take the time you (obviously!) took to post an interpretation that sets the rest of them right. Thank you, you mos def hit the nail on the head. <3 |

Another CAS song with brilliant lyrics and no comments. Hurrrumph. This little beauty is a whimsical what if comparison of actions versus perception. Will I be my worst or best for you? Will you accept both the positive and the negative as facets of my love? Will you reach for me and what happens if you do? To me, he is laying bare his soul, showing his true nature, in that no matter what he does/says, he feels, at least, that it is all done/said in love. |

No comments?!?!?! Are you kidding? This song rocks my world. I see it as a tribute to the lost love. THE Lost Love. The one that got away. The one that haunts you just as much as you haunt them. The one you will never stop thinking about despite space and time and the absolute inability to be together. "Got the music in you baby, tell me why you've been locked in here forever and you just can't say goodbye." |
