| Such a masterpiece. For me, this song speaks about "every-day" struggle of a musician, in this case a folky, singer-songwriter. I am trying to make something in that domain so everything in this song looks real and familiar. \n\nHere are some points of how I understood / got the whole song:\n\n1. Choose your battles - meaning you need to find your audience that actually wants to hear what you wanna say, otherwise you will scatter your talent around the place and end up disappointed.\n\n2. No matter how much you want to make it, remember to leave one part of that "I don\'t give a fuck" attitude because, remember, the Devil hunts a hungry man! And If you let yourself being hunted by him, wanting this success of yours by all means, you will find yourself sliding down that vicious rabbit hole. | |

I don't care if it's about heroin. For me, it brings back some beautiful associations and memories...When I was living with my girlfriend in Dublin,Ireland a couple of years ago, the very last day before she left back home we spent one of the most beautiful days together in the city. Not that something particular happened...we were just roaming around, lying on the green Irish grass in one of the beautiful Dublin parks and then, when it got dark, we went to see a movie..Just a simple but perfect day.. <3 So I don't care about the heroin message as long as this song brings so many warm and peaceful memories, remembering me of the one of the most beautiful days I've ever had! For me, this song is about us :) Just enjoy the music guys <3 |
