This song hit close to me. It's so joyful, and sad. I think it hits the mentality very well of someone giving in to another drug/alcohol bender, embracing it with glee, feeling like you can and will do almost anything, off to the races to have a good time, burn California to the ground... and knowing it's all going to end in therapy, the grave, the loss of your soul, a waste of time. He knows he's too old to be doing all this. But for now it is what it is, he's going with it, carried away. |
