| This song is about broken dreams and broken lives. Dreams are a common theme with Savatage, especially Streets: A Rock Opera and forward. The telling line are "I came here with a dream" and "If my dream would soar". The persued their dream but ended up a shell of a person. Their life is now driven by escapism, reality hurts too much. They are cynical of people and icons that promise a better life or the ideal of what life should be. They have been broken, yet still hope, yeah desire, to be wanted, to be given one more chance. They need someone to take the initiative because they are spent and have have not the power, being the shell of a person. | |
