Thanks @[julzbegood:27921]. What a great way the writer expresses the childhood tragedy of his mother. What a way to express, what many feel and fear, is that of God absent from personal tragedy and pain! I'm feel pretty certain this was the writer's/singer's "grandpa" and therefore his mother's father. My reasoning is that unless the writer's great-grandfather lived long enough to know his great-grandson, the writer wouldn't call his great-grandfather by such a familiar term as "grandpa". |
